August 14, 2009New direction in Club elections
A changing of the guard has taken place within the Sydney Speedway Sedan Club as Alan Edwards retires as Club President after 24 years at the helm
At the recent AGM Alan advised the members that it was time for a new generation to take up the challenge to run this ever evolving club.
He will however continue in his roll as State President of the Speedway Sedan Association of NSW and also continue as a Board Member at the national level for Speedway Sedans Australia.
It has been a very heavy workload in recent years serving as President and also taking on the role of secretary / treasure after the retirement of long serving club person Narelle Morris four years ago. With the inclusion of the Junior Sedans into the Club five years ago it has been a hectic schedule. Alan will continue in an advisory roll for a short time to allow the new committee to settle in to their respective duties.
